Starting this November 2019, a goodies.xfce.org documentation is starting to migrate to https://docs.xfce.org/start. The goal is to remove deprecated projects and, eventually, de-comission the goodies.xfce.org URLs. Gigolo

Terminal

Written by Benedikt Meurer, Terminal is a modern terminal emulator for the Unix/Linux desktop - primarly for the Xfce desktop environment. It was developed by os-cillation because they saw the need for a lightweight and easy to use terminal emulator in the Xfce desktop environment, that doesn’t require the user to install the GNOME platform, but still provides a worthy alternative to the GNOME terminal emulator. Terminal requires, among other software, the libexo librarie, which is available from our download page as well. Please read the installation guide on the official Terminal page.

Xfce4 Volstatus Icon

Xfce4 Volstatus Icon is written by Brian Tarricone, and is a simple system tray notification icon that allows you to safely eject removable devices before you physically unplug them. It's quick, easy-to-use, and doesn't require opening a terminal or Thunar window to safely unmount each volume on a particular device.

Xfce4 Dictionary

Xfce4 Dictionary is written by Enrico Tröger, and is a client program to query different dictionaries. It can query a Dict server (RFC 2229), open online dictionaries in a web browser or verify the spelling of a word using aspell or ispell. It contains a stand-alone application and a plugin for the Xfce panel.

Xfce4 Power Manager

Xfce4 Screenshooter

This application allows you to capture the entire screen, the active window or a selected region. You can set the delay that elapses before the screenshot is taken and the action that will be done with the screenshot: save it to a PNG file, copy it to the clipboard, or open it using another application.
